Sorry to hear that, but again this is just ppl's feelings on it remember. Personally I really would like to hear Rob just say one way or another, or at least give some guidlines on the scripting.

not to be a pain in the a$$ or anything but config.cfg is a script the game executes each time it starts... do we mean all scripts?

Ok, since I didn't get to voice my opinion in the other thread

I will do it here. So please if you don't want to hear what I say don't read it.

I did not intend this to apply to anyone, just my thoughts.

*I think the reason this scripting subject is being brought up so much is because when someone gets killed time and time again by the same person. They either think that they are cheating, or using some sort of script to help them. I can assure you that if TheVille banned scripts today, everyone that used them would still have the same skill as they did the day before. Just now they would prolly get carpel tunnel syndrome faster.

I understand why some people think all scripts help the other player, and they just want to compete on an even playing field.
Thats cool, but you don't understand how scripts work, they don't really give that much of an advantage. I understand that my reload script gives me an advantage over a person who does it manually. Just not enough of an advantage to make me stop using it. So what if a person has the shittiest system in the world, and they use some scripts to help them compete on the same playing field as you. Would you get mad at them?
Remember the goal of this game is to have fun, not judge everyone else. Just because you don't use any scripts don't try to push your views in other peoples faces. I could really care less if you use scripts, addons, customizations, etc. Just have fun.

ALSO HOW ABOUT WE MAKE IT SO THAT YOU CAN ONLY VOTE IN THIS IF YOU HAVE EVER USED A SCRIPT BEFORE SO YOU CAN MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION...UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE WHO HATE SCRIPTS BUT HAVE NEVER USED THEM SO THEY DONT KNOW HOW THEY WORK AND HOW MUCH THEY HELP.

I vote that the discussion of scripts and binds is a guaranteed post generator!

I think the loudest voice is the one that isn't. How many people have been kicked banned for scripts???. Not including the anti cheat software that kicks for pitch speed.

It says some scripts, so I'll say the ones that don't take advantage of a bug/glitch in TFC should be the only ones allowed. Such as, if it's just like I have it (different names and sayings to go along with each), I don't see the harm in it.

Some scripts are useful and I consider them to be fair but many are very cheap and are as bad as hacks.Here is a early warning spy script you can copy and paste into your config if you want.

All you do is hit the bound key and then hit 1-9 to tell your team what disguise the spy is using

I want a bind that team slays the enemy and auto caps the flag while pouring beer is my teams glasses where ever they all are.
