most of you ahve noticed that you cant bind f1 and f2 for your scripts anymore because of the new patch... so i asked sierra wtf is up with that... heres what they said:

To make F1 and F2 rebindable go to your Half-Life or CS retail directory, open the valve subdirectory, and then the cl_dlls subdir. Rename the GameUI.dll to GameUI.bak. Please plan on
discontinuing using these keys for your scripts as these keys will be used for Tracker and the
Viewdemo command in future versions, and there is no guarantee this workaround will work in the
future.

(the funny thing is i get a tracker dll error every time i join a server and they never responded to that part of the question)

They create new "fixes" so they can put out yet *another* new patch and keep their jobs because of TFC2 not happening for at least the next decade.

I know it too, but it isn't really all that great anyway. I don't think I would use it.......

would be great if you could add commands to the f1 box, like favorite servers or admin commands.

tracker.dll is a Steam by-product that lets u 'track' buddies and favorite servers. HL is only suppposed to look for it in the Steam version, but for some reason it thinks tracker should be in both versions. Regardless, its harmless.
