Other Servers...What's their deal?

Well I've been only having free time in the midday lately, so I've been playing on some other dedicated servers. I think I can say, the skills I learned here at TheVilles far surpassed everyone in every damn game I was in. It was quite annoying though having a team who can't spot a spy if he were knifing them in the back.

It was especially funny for me when one of the regulars popped up on this server and some other regulars recognized them. They were happy because they thought they were going to whup the team I had just joined. I just sat humbly silent, I didn't know what they were capable of so I wanted to see before I opened my mouth. From second 1 I trounced them as a Demoman, my worst class. Even worse the map was Dustbowl and I was an Attacker on an unbalanced game in favor of defenders.
Next game was CZ2 and I came face to face with 5 HW guys (no limits I remembered) they killed me and then went running their mouths. SO naturally wanting to test their HW skills and already being peeved at the lot of em I switched to HW guy. I piled the HW suckers up at cap 3 and exploded the last as he ran for health with a grenade. My final score in both games were just over 100 for HW and Demoman with deaths in the teens for DM and 7 for HW. Of course they accused me of cheating and being an admin and that kinda jazz.

Anyways, it has been going like that on every server other than TheVilles. This has got to be one of the highest skill servers out there, with the most regular regulars. It's like putting your game on hard mode instead of easy.

Anyone who doesn't beleive me get out there on some other servers and check out how well you do.

You are absolutly right about the lack of skill on most other daytime servers. I myself usually get an hour or 2 in before work during the day and have found at least one server that has some pretty good players. The server is girlpower. Not sure of the IP but the website is http://www.girlpower.dhs.org

Sometimes it's good to go play at another server just to build your confidence, or get a little ego boost. It's pretty hilarious for me to go to another server and play a round of 70-5 as a sniper. If you've ever seen me snipe, you'll know why that's so damn funny - I spent half a day trying to get Headshot when going for 29 weapons.

You seem to get a lot of good players at German servers - look for a ".de" in the name. Maybe it's just harder to play when you can't make understand your team messages. Let them know if you can't speak German, and they may switch to English, especially if you're respectful and seem to know what you're doing. (The USA must be one of the few industrialized nations where a majority of people aren't bilingual. Anyone have any stats on that?)

You are so right. On a server I forgot which god I went soldier nobody could touch me everyone accused me of cheating he he but they were all wrong I just had good shots on them cuz they would stand still so I shot the with rockets in the head 'till they died.

Kind of funny that the land mass with many countries would jointly teach English in school. Assuming they have it as a requirement, or is it a popular elective.
Here with Mexico so close and the influx of spanish speaking people I can't understand why Spanish isn't required in this area.
In fact the school recommended that my daughter take French. Luckily we had a choice.

Roof, the reason and a problem that I have with making Spanish mandatory is exactly that. I have no problem having students learn a foreign language, but to force them to take one or the other is not right. I agree that Spanish is the best sooted for our states that we live in, but the imigrants needed to make a concentrated effort to learn English, too. Most older imigrants do not do this, because they feel it is beneth them to speak another language and that they are afraid they are going to lose their culture. This causes a problem for their kids. The kids are trying to learn English in school,but they don't get the reinforcement from home. I have heard that the Mexico culture discourages school after a boy turns 16. They feel it is not needed and that they are a man now and can get a good job. Can somebody verify that. If ture that would explain alot of problems that the hispanic community in TX has with high High School drop outs. Last I wish I had a chance to learn a foreign language starting in the 1st grade, because it is harder to learn the older you get. Oh wait a minute I guess I got off topic again. Sorry! Yes I play on other servers during the day to and see some Ville Regs there. I have to say ditto to most of ya'lls comments on skill level and complaining of how you cheat and all.
