|
|
So I switched to XP, but now when I save something to my desktop, it puts two copies on....I've tried everything to get it to stop doing that.....but I'm out of ideas.
(Oh yeah, Whyb or OSU, what websites have good skins for XP.) |

As far as the 2 items to desktop issue, I don't seem to have that problem with mine. That is a good one. I know I didn't help any but it's not issue on XP that I'm aware of. _________________

As to the theme question, keep an eye on the "completed visual styles" section in the forums of www.neowin.net -the best one's i've seen have come from here. BTW, here's my most recent, it's a great theme

Lets see, WhyB sent me to NeoWin, which is where I got the nice blue theme I am usin now.
here are the links to the sites I have wandered thru...
www.deviantart.com<==wallpapers
www.neowin.net<==themes and wallpapers
www.themexp.com<==themes and wallpapers
And if you want the skin crack, contact me or whyb via email, I will definitely send it to you, and I'm sure WhyB will too. _________________ I WAS (back in august of 02) just better than you, thats all.

They're both full copies of the item/folder/application. But when I delete one from the desktop, the other one is no longer a valid object, and I have to refresh my desktop to get rid of it. |

I'm running XP Pro and I'm logging in with an Admin account (my main profile) It started doing this when I tried to get rid of the My Documents folder from my desktop.
{edit} I putzed with the /Documents and Settings/All Users/Desktop folder, and now I only have one copy of stuff...w00t!
{2nd edit} Sigh....it's back.
