I've been getting some random lockups and crashes since I've switched to Win2k, and I can't seem to find out what is wrong with it. System isn't overheating like it use to, all the newest drivers.... any ideas how I can fix this? or does Win2k just hate games?

Win2k Pro works fine on mine.
Maybe you have hardware issues.
A bad stick of RAM can do that to you, try taking out each stick of RAM considering you have more than 1 and try it without that one stick with the other(s) in. If you dont freeze up or have any problems when you take out one of the RAM sticks try putting that one in alone by itsself and see if it is detected and see if problems persist. If they Don't happen with the other RAM and do with that one its pretty safe to say that that particular stick of RAM is probably bad and needs to be replaced. _________________ World of Warcraft:

I dunno about that. It was working fine with 98 and wasn't untill I installed Win2k Pro. It'll go for maybe 45 min to an hour, then lock up. |

Personally I dont see the point of running win2k unless you have a SMP machine (multi processors). |

I run Win 2000 without a prob. Open ie and then goto Windows Update. There might be an update for your os there.
And did you format and reinstall or just install it over 98?
