Well, I have received a flood of PM's and emails about the map tests I have been hosting. It seems the demand for playing new maps is rising! Sweet!

I am very happy that these map tests are being well received and to keep the momentum going, I will be doing it again this Thursday!

I have found another map! This is quite possibly the coolest looking map I have ever seen! All new textures, sounds, and models really make it a cut above the rest! It's Osaka on steroids!

This sux I have class on Thur. I really like the ideal of learning new maps. Could we maybe have it on another day next time around?

Torak, I will probably start doing this on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. Not real sure yet. It all depends on whether the amount of turnout supports it. I was thinking maybe 4 or 5 new maps a month. Spend the month running map tests on those maps. When we find one that we truly enjoy playing, I will just add it to the rotation every week. We already found rd_bankj and that will get much play while my server is up!

I think Maya might as well. Just depends on your (the play tester's) opinion. Saturdays would be out and Fridays are there for Friday Night Fights. So it would probably be a Sunday night thing. We'll so how it goes until then.

Santa, are you asking if I have tried Well2?

I haven't because I am not real into "sequel" maps. I have only played a couple sequels that turned out better than the original map.

I am not a great fan of Well anyway. I have found one map that kind of resembles the Well scheme and it's perty kule. Needs a sky though.

I will always take the time to look at just about any map. Within reason. I like to at least see a screenshot before hand. However, I never saw anything from rd_bankj and got real lucky with that one.

If you find something cool, you can PM me the link and/or some screenies. Mostly I look for two types of maps.

1. Straight Offensive/Defensive CTF

2. Maps with actual missions.

You find anything like that and I will definately take a look at it. I find many on JMC's and Mapspot. Maybe you can find another site that has yet MORE new maps? That would be helpfull. Thx

Lets see: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday are pretty much out for me, with the exception of Saturday for a bit before TVB night starts and an occasional Friday. That leaves Tuesday and Sunday as possibilities and since things seem to start early for me I guess Tuesday isn't a very good option. I guess Sundays would work for me

I have been hosting them from my PC.

My little P3 700 keeps on chuggin! I think I can, I think I can! We have not been seeing pings over 200. The average ping is around 90 - 150 which is not bad at all. At least for map testing, it's a fine ping.
