Has anybody ever played Everquest? And if so, did you like it or hate it? And why do you feel the way you do?

I am thinking of buying the original and trying it out, but I don't know how good it really is.

I know it is off topic, and I apologize for that...but I know a lot of people here play a ton of games. I need some of that experience.

I have played EQ for a long time and ... the shine is gone, all that is left is a crappy Game that is nothing more then a Time Sink.
Crappy Customer Service, they change the game to limit players to much and Make you group. Finding a new way around a problem will just get you nothing since the ywill delete it and make you do it like everyone else.

IMO Wait and see wha tother game are coming out. Alot are gonna be like EQ and better then EQ in many ways. Don't waist your cash now.

Speaking of games other than tfc, I can't wait till empire earth comes out. It looks really amazing, I downloaded the demo today but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. Huge biology test tommorrow...must study, must study...worth 25% of mark...why didn't I listen during class?

Thanks for the comments! I was wondering how it was...definitely makes me want to wait. I think I will wait for Star Wars Galaxies...might just give that a try when it comes out sometime next year.

World of Warcraft. Did ya'll like warcraft 2? well now they are turning it into a 3d rpg, you can be an orc or a human or whatever the hell other races there are in that game.

Speaking of role playing in a continuus world, Blizzard is coming out with World of WarCraft. I Watched some gameplay of it, and it look really nice. Spectacular scenary to run around on 3rd person 3D view. But I know how those games are. I played Ultima Online when it first came out...It is a big time vortex, robs you of your social life. Plus you pay 10 bucks to have it do it.

I am waiting for WarCraft3 to come out. Real Time Strategy are by Far my favorite genre, and Blizzard does it better than anyone else. I hope some of you guys get it or have starcraft. I was on the BattleNet Ladder pretty high when Starcraft was out in 97. I had a bad habit though of killing even my allies in games. I would get annoyed with how poorly my team did when going 3 on 3 or 2 on 2 and unalign with them, kill them, and go on to kill the other team all by myself. The mighty Protoss, I like to think of them as Space Orcs

Most of the EQ people have migrated to the new Dark Age of Camelot in which you will find me and Silverone playing. We are on the Galihad server.

Yes, I play on everquest, Fennin Ro server. Sometimes I get bored with it, i hadn't played for 4 months until a few weeks ago, but I will never quit until I have like a lvl 60 of every class or verant stops running EQ servers. whichever comes first.
I love my guild, and even though the game is boring and repetitive, it can be so fun sometimes that I will never give it up.

and I'm trying Anarchy oonline, and if you thought verant was bad, good lord it cant get any worse than funcom...
