After reading your rules "Anyone found running hacked mods, proxy bots, or any kind of 'helper' paks, scripts, or addons, are considered cheaters" I wondered if all scripts are cheats? I have a simple script that changes my gernade prime and launch because I could not hit the "f" and "g" easily. So is my script considered a cheat here? |

No, that would not be considered a cheat.

In a similar vein, I recently saw a "script" or a config.cfg edit that changes the client grenade tick to "Five, Four, Three, Two, One". Would this be beyone the pale? i.e. would it be considered cheating?
I also have changed many of the keybinds to different keys, but none are bound to a script that performs multiple actions in a sequence. I use my mouse to turn and rebound the left and right arrow keys to strafe. I assume these kinds of things are OK.
Last, is using a joystick cheating? (i.e. like Microsoft Sidewinder)

Good, because I use a mouse and a joystick at the same time. Joystick for forward backward, strafe left & right. The mouse is for aiming up, down, turn left & right and fire. Left hand for the joystick and right for the mouse. I did it because it is very intuitive for me!
Thanks, I think I will add the verbal count to keep from blowing myself to smithereenies as often.

hey Duke, I like your signature. Very funny rip off of his famous proclamation. What people don't understand however is that there is a great deal of meaning behind this short simple adage. This is the idea of essense before existence, quite opposite of existentialists' idea of existence before essence. I am can go on and on about this. I am into this philosophical stuff even though I am not a philosophy major or anything like that. I am a chemist. Well, sorry about this rambling. I am just stressed from upcoming tests and bored now because I don't want to study and ville is not up.
BTW the very original phrase is actually "Congito ergo sum" (Latin form of "I think therefore I am"

That's funny Omega, I was a philosophy major, but I have trouble remembering half of that stuff. LOL. But Descartes was truly one of the early greats. That much I remember. |

Thanks, I thought it fit since I like philosophy. BTW I am a Physicist. Also, it should be "Cognito" -- cognate with the English word cognate. [I assume that this was just a typo. ]
Indeed I knew the original Latin, but I didn't know what they would have called SPAM. Besides the Latin for "stink" doesn't rhyme with "Cognito" -- DOH!!
RoofCutter;
I am newer to this game and sometimes I lose track of which tick the timer is on and occasionaly blow myself up by either failing to let go or getting the hell away from the pineapple before it goes BOOM!! Sooooo, it would help to have an audible countdown (audible to me only of course) That is the idea anyway. Probably won't help a whole lot since as my signature proclaims:

I'm Changing my signature to:
Veni Vidi Vici
Latin for I came I saw I conquered.
I believe Julius Ceasar said this about the English Isles.

Hey JD nice quote.
Interested in the 2nd ammendment?
Do you think the latest events will increase or decrease HGI's battle to curtail and stop
private gun ownership.
What are your rules in Canada?
Kronic you have a way with words that is not nice.
Heres my quote in english:
When asked how much educated men were superior to those uneducated, Aristotle answered, "As much as the living are to the dead."
