The first site really has nothing new, except maybe the spy opening the doors for the demo. As for tracers, unless you use them to find a hwguy through walls and stuff like that, I don't mind people using them.

Some leagues have banned them, some haven't. Really useful to an HW and if you practice enough with it you become almost or more useful than a soljah in match play.

I've never heard of them before now, how do you turn them on? What exactly do they do? Can you only see other people or can you see yoru own?

By defualt you will see yellowish lines coming out of your ac, they are tracers, sgs make them as well, but I rarely see them. On some graphics cards the tracers look bigger, so when you modify them, it's very clear to see. You see the tracers coming out of your gun, and enemy ones. I'm not going to give you the commands, unless Rob agrees... you can change the colors of them to make them more visible, and even change the speed they shoot as well as the lenght.

I downloaded a file to make my tracer (what I think is a tracer...) white. So when I fire my guns and I see people fire their guns, the little flash that you see on the barrel is white. Didn't know what it was, but I thought it looked better then the yellow one, and the yellow one also tended to distract me. I never really thought of what it could be used for though...

and i have never seen a tracer, but it looks like something that would be frowned upon becasue it is an advantage over those who cant see them, imho

wow i jsut messed aroudn with that stuff and i was able to tweak it so i had the same accuracy conced as normal..thats scary...i dont think tracer changing should be allowed imho

Tracers help you aim - if I remember from all those years ago in the military - the tip of every 5th or so round is coating with a substance that ignites and glows as the round moves through the air - so you have a cool red streak heading towards your target. Looks incredible at night, and helps you to aim using fully automatic gunfire - I guess it works the same way in TFC

The only tracers that are really serious are the commands that activate tracers coming through wall. IMO all other tracers are not cheating.

An HW being allowed to shoot is similar to a conced sniper being able to snipe.

Oh, and Lin...Following the cross while conced messes your aim way up.

I was playing around too, but the tracers didn't help all that much, just following the crosshair does the same thing.
