Even if you get a new video card it's not gonna make a difference how you play.

I run at a continous 60 FPS on all the servers. Usually any problems I have is lag cuz my FPS sticks at 60 at all times. I have an Nvidia Ge Force2 MX 400 w/64mgs. Not sure what my settings in game are but the graphics are running very smooth. Not sure if it matters or not but I am also running 768 mgs of RAM too with a P4 1.8 processor. As far as graphics cards go though, mine is working awesome!! G/L

I run around 70-100 on most servers. I run an ati geforce 3, amd athlon 1.2 ghz (it owns your stupid p4s!!), and 256 mb ram.

Mine 99% of the time is at 99fps. This is even with my gib count set at 9999.

Once and a while on a neo server Ill see it drop down to like 85-90 but no biggy, cant tell at all when fps is that high. Running a 1.4 T-Bird and ATI Radeon 64mb DDR ViVo GC. Nice card, but picky about video drivers. Oh ya and also running at 11xxX968 in opengl. Different Vid modes will give you different FPS. Under D3D I lose like 30-40 FPS and I never have even messed with running software, it just looks like AZZ.

I would have to say that I, when in software mode because of techinical dificulties, have had an average of 6-7. I am curious to what mode you are running in. I now run in d3d, since opengl locks up, and am getting an average of 16-20, I cap it at 20. I am running a Diamond Viper v330 4 meg agp and plan on upgrading soon, it just has to be able to run in an AGP 1.0 compliant system.

Add this to your config file in the tfc directory:

net_graph "3"
net_scale "5"
net_graphpos "1"

Then in game on the bottom right corner, it will show statistics of you r ping, fps, and other things. Very handy.

my thought exactly blown... and im redlined at 99.9 fps, always, unless im trying to lower it (spammin on conquest in the dm area withe demos, gibs 9999, giblife 99999999, etc...then it goes to like 45...*sigh* guess i cant be up there always... ;> radeon8500 babey

I have mine capped at 45. If me and my son are playing at the same time and the fps isn't capped, the connection gets swamped by the total framerate.
