Custom Spray Logos

Hey ladies and gents, I am having a problem seeing my spray or anyone else's for that matter. Even when I set the spray on the customize page it doesn't show in game. Also, I can hear the .wav file that accompanies spraying the logo(kinda like a leaky tire)...but no damn pic!

Any thoughts? I was hoping someone else might have encountered this problem as well.

it was working before the latest patch....

Welcome to the club. The same thing happened to me but with patch 1107. But gues what I don't miss it at all it was to distracting anyway

JCOM I had the same problem. There is a post from that period. It's in the FAQ section under "Help Logo sprays invisible"
I followed everyones suggestion and nothing worked. I reinstalled half-life over the existing and was good to go again.

Same thing happened to me. I no longer have any spray capabilities. I figured it was just something that my new machine didn't like since I got a new computer at the time the patch came out. So I just said oh well I won't bother anyone about it and have been going along my merry way. If someone knows how to fix it I'd be happy to hear since I have some really cool sprays I want to test out.

Thanks for your help and prompt responses brothers! I am just going to leave well enough alone and live without the custom sprays for the time being. If Halflife craps out on me then I will reinstall it, but until then I am not going to try and fix something as minor as seeing sprays.

Thanks again and remember dont go driving around in the rain and get a flat tire and then creep up to a large ominous castle and ask to borrow the phone...

Hmmm, Well I noticed this oddness only on TV2 in the past few days, perhaps its related to NeoTF?

Well this has happened to me but the next day it was back up and working and I did not do anything.

I had the same problem too. But mine's was a little different. When I changed my video settings to direct3d I wasn't able to see cusom spray's nor my own. I was able to hear it but not see it. When I switched it back to open GL, I was able to see sprays again. So I had two options, open GL with custom sprays or Direct 3d and see under water. I stuck with the spray. There aren't many maps on TheVille with water in it anyways. Hope this might solve your problem

My sprays are fine in TV2. Just checked it out.

I believe the ability to view sprays is server and client related. The server has the option aswell as the client to allow viewing of sprays. Both must be turned on thru the config.cfg for client and server.cfg for server.

if you're havin trouble makin sprays work

i found a cool program that works perfect and is very easy to use.

Wally ..do a search for it

Photoshop might be necessary to convert the dimension to divisable by 16
