I was just wondering if you guys play video game RPGs whats some of your faves are, I don't care if its console or PC, I just want a humble opinion of some of your faves(so maybe I can get some that are sweet ) heres some of mine
Dragon Warrior (all of em)
Final Fantasy 1 4 5 6 and 9 the rest don't have that sweet feel these do
Chrono Trigger & Cross
Diablo 1 (2 just lacks something I swear it)
That's just a few of my faves I recently picked up the Arc the lad collection(cause nobody rents the damn thing) and have been enjoying it for the time I have spent playing it

ARE YOU INSANE?!?!?!
FF 7 was a totally super sweet game.
That being said, I also enjoyed Chrono Cross (still havn't been able to play Chrono Trigger ). Baldur's gate was a pretty cool game too and Legend of Dragoon was as well. And if this counts as an RPG game, then Might and Magic 6 rocked the earth. _________________

Hmmm, I'm not really into the roleplaying game part of it, but I love diablo and diablo 2 for the hack and slash, loot, get good stuff, etc etc etc... so my vote is for diablo 2... being able to run makes that sooooo much better (not being able to learn/use all the spells as any character sux0rz!) |

I've only got two of them, and they are both fairly good, Diablo 2 and Final Fantasy 7. I played and finished 8, but I didn't like it as much. It's all about TFC people! |

Chrono trigger. The best RPG. Ever. Period.
Secret of mana. The story could have been a touch better, but i liked the combat system.
FF 10. Got to love 70 hour long interactive movies.
Orphan. Same.
Breath of fire. Only played one and part of two, but, they were awsome(could have been cause they were the first RPGs i've played).
Lufia 2. The combat was a rip off of FF 3, so, that wasn't exactly something that set it apart, but the story was just amazing.
Not really all that many otherwise are worth mentioning. _________________

Here are mine...
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
Fallout 1 and 2
Legend of Legaia
Dragon Warrior (only played the first one and I loved it)
Diablo 1 and 2
Favorite...would be Baldur's Gate 2. Just loved the story all the way around.
And I know FF7 is considered to be so good, but I have played it through and just didn't care for it. I think the translation loss just turned me off of the game. I didn't always know what was going on exactly. And the cinematics for the fight scenes got very old! I did enjoy some of the characters though, and the chocobos were pretty cool. _________________ Been chasing since May 2001!

My Favourite - Zelda: Ocarina of Time This may be an abuse of the term "RPG", but who cares?
Maybe it's because this was my first experience of "real" gaming - before that I was stuck on Spectrum and SNES, but this one blew me away |

Sheesh where is Goldom?
EverQuest, there is no better RPG. Period.
Too bad I have no desire to subscribe to it anymore and the time it takes to be really involved is just a bit too much for me at this point in my life. _________________ "Don't be so humble - you are not that great."

Mine would have to be:
1. FF7
2. Fallout 1 and 2
3. Planescape: Torment
4. Diablo 1 and 2 (I haven't played the expansions)
5. Breath of Fire IV
6. Wild Arms (sort of)
Did you know you can make your own RPGs on your computer? You can use RPGMaker 2000. It has like SNES level graphics but is pretty easy to use once you figure it out. These sites are hard to find in english, but I managed to hunt one down at:
http://www.geocities.com/ev_soft/downloads.htm (The English RTP file that you need to use it)
http://rm2k.phantomrpg.com/ (Has the actuall program as well as the RTP. Don Miguel is the original translator (as far as I know) and this is where I got mine) _________________ Shinu Kikai O Motomo
