Sup, not sure if this was posted or not but heads up on the XP OS. There's a security flaw for both Pro and home versions. Check it out. There's a downloadable file for it.

Already installed it! Thx though.
XP has that annoying automatic update feature and it cme up on there the other day. Everyday there are new updates!
I hardly ever use it anyway. _________________ Recipient of POTM award

I try not to do any updates unless needed w/ XP. In the past I did all that and ended up reinstalling XP! )(*&^%)*&_(*)(^(*^(*&)( So now I skip the updates unless I really have to do it... like the one attached. _________________ Sleek Wild Intelligent Female TheVille Supporter |

I just use Windows Update for my patches etc. Or should I go to other places as well? |

I do all the updates. It usually takes 30 seconds and they are generally small. I love the update alert feature in XP. Then again... I love XP! _________________

LOL Snag, that's so true. It's just as difficult to find a girl like that in MN, too.
Oh well, it could be worse... at least I don't live in Wisconsin |

Check out this dudes page - he is kinda a bit of an alarmist, but has a lot of useful writings on the subject, and also a cool little download to disable the flawed Plug and Play thingie.
Note that the Plug and Play referred to is not the same as the thing that recognises your hardware when you plug it in, so it is safe to disable it with the app.
