Okay, a friend of mine told me about this place today www.augustustech.com
This has got to be the cheapest components I have ever seen. 256MB of PC133 Ram for 19 bucks. a 120 GB Maxtor HD for 165 bucks. Its insane.
Just thought I would share my find with y'all.
oh, if anyone has purchased from there, let me know how the experience was. _________________ I WAS (back in august of 02) just better than you, thats all.

*The sound of crickets chirping*
Maybe they have to sell so cheap to get attention, since it doesn't appear they've gotten much business from us... hehehe |

Thanks BBF, I care not if no one goes there, I was just letting everyone know about it, hopefully helping my fellow vill-uns out in the time of upgrading. I know I am in need of some upgrading when I get a little more cash. _________________ I WAS (back in august of 02) just better than you, thats all.

Cheap prices are dang sweet when you find them, but a only $20 for 256 ram???? I stay away from cheap things like that, because if they're "that desperate" to get rid of them, then there's probably some faulty in their performance level.

It is only natural that SDRAM is plummeting in price (although this is very low). So many people are headed in the direction of DDRAM. So, the low price isn't necessarily indicitive of the quality of the product. Those are very good prices, I just do not order anything online. I got rid of anything that closely resembles a credit card. _________________
