CD Key already in use!?

I have posted about this before, but am doing it again. Does anyone know why I keep getting that error. And is anyone else getting it? Is it a bug in the update? It drives me nuts.

And before you ask... NO, I have not lent my CD to anyone's cousin's uncle's dog. We have 3 legit copies here at home with 3 CD keys. We do not share!

Just curious if someone is using my CD key via a generator or if it is a bug. I never had the problem before the update.

hoaxie that sux.... i bet someone just DL a CD key generator and just got ur CD key.... that really stinks though......

I can't give you much help. The only time that I see that message is when my brother is playing on my TFC while he has to wait for me to update his copy and I accidentally get try to get into a game.

I looked in your stats and there's only 4 alias's and they all seem like there prolly yours so it may be a not disconnecting from the won server or something like that. I dont think it could be a cd key issue because there would be another alias that was not yours.

It's probably just hl messing up... If you exit a server and it doesn't report to won that you have, it might not auth you for the next. If you get authed after like 30 seconds or so, I'd say no one is using your cdkey. Most generated cdkeys start with 20 or 27.

What? Servers other then the ville?!!?! EEK! Don't speak such nonsense. Theville is the only server and the word is flat. That takes care of that.

OBH, this happens to me too. If you just quit from CS/Half-Life, go on the internet, then go back into CS/Half-Life, it works fine. So what Tor said is probably right, I'm just giving it to you in an easier explanation.
