Okay, nothing emergency here, I just have a question about my computer's abilities.

I am curious what would be holding me back at this point in PC gaming. I am running:
    700Mhz Athlon
    256MB RAM
    32MB Riva TNT2
I haven't really played/purchased many PC games (other than AOE2, Black and White, DeusEx, and Giants:Citizen Kabuto) If I were to get, say Return to Castle Wolfenstein, or Freedom Force, or Medal of Honor, would it run okay on my system as it stands? If not, what would help my performance the most, new Video Card, more RAM or just say f*ck it and get a faster processor.

Thanks.

you really dont have to beef up your processor or your card..i say the more memory..the better

hmmm...what motherboard do ya have. If it has a 2x AGP slot then the newer vid cards will get choked somewhat from that. Im assuming its a duron 700? If its a socketA processor you can just upgrade as long as the mb allows it to like a T-Bird 1.4 for like 90 bucks.

Okay, I have no idea what kind of motherboard I have, but it is an Athlon 700mhz card. I only have one AGP slot, which is occupied by my video card.

3G, I Think I might buy more memory this summer, but the shitty thing is that I have one more slot, so I will most likely get a 256 chip. If I had the money, I would get 3 256 chips, and toss the two 128 chips I have in there now

I think ville2 should host MOH instead of DOD. My Dad wants to get it so bad for his PS2. Too bad it's coming out in June, but when I'm finished with school of course, I'm going striaght to the store and purchase that sucker. Eh, I might even purchase Jedi Knight as well who knows

How is it different with DOD and Castle Wolf.?

Blown is right. You need to know the speed or your AGP slot. If it is a 4x you should get a new video card. Don't get the GForce 4 MX, a GForce 3 Ti is faster. You also should up your RAM to 512. At least it was on topic.

In a perfect world you would look in your Motherboard book. Since this is an imperfect world you will have to go into your BIOS and look at you AGP settings. Odds are if you can set it to 4x you can have a 4x card. It also might be controlled by a jumper on your Motherboard. I had an AMD 700mhz on an Abit KA7 and it was a setting in BIOS. Hope that helps.
