JUST SAY NO TO REALPLAYER!!!
It caused my last reformat. Real Deleted some file that was apparently necessary for ALL of my internet applications. It also associates itself with EVERYTHING!
Stupid program.

Oh $#it don't get me started on RealPlayer! I DLed it so I could listen to my alma mater play football and basketball (I live in a radio dead zone) and I wish I hadn't. I read EVERY WORD of the license agreement and EVERY WORD of the readme file that came with the download. I still had comet cursor installed (without my knowledge), RealPlayer associated with EVERYTHING, even after I selected NO to the association questions, and everytime RealPlayer starts it writes a registry entry to activate the RealTray application, which I then have to kill.  AAARGHH!! I won't even talk about how often it tries to "phone home" while in use (which my firewall stops).  It took 3 passes with AdAware and two weeks to stabalize my system. The only software manufacturer with more registry entries than Real is M$!
Back on topic...the music is cool, and you do not have to have RealPlayer to play it--MS media player also works (another can of worms that I am not about to open.)
BTW, my favorite link to TV website doesn't work now, is that because the intro is gone, and it is no longer ..../index2? |
