I just dont see how ya can prime grenades with the arrow keys.

Mine are for the mouse

left click=fire
right click=Primary Grenade
Wheel depress=Secondary Grenade
Left side button=zoom/det pipes
Right side button=Use
z=medic
x=discard ammo
tab=voice
f3=show scores
shift=duck
f=_special2
q=detspecial or last used weapon
space=jump
alt=switch teams
r=reload
g=build rotate sentury gun
e=build or det dispensor

I dont use the mouse wheel anymore, since I use it to do my secondary grenades I was either switching weapons or throwing grenades at bad times. Now its just for my grenades.

Scripts are no no's. Of any kind. However, they are tolerated. I am not sure why, maybe because it would be to hard to really enforce the rule. I am not going to open this can of worms again though. So my opinion will stay where it is.. ..buried in an old post.

I'm just wondering, how much do you guys move your hands? From your configs it looks hard to do many actions at once. I look at the scores a lot, so having the showscores, and the movement keys so far apart is hard on me. Plus I'm constantly pressing the discard ammo key, I really don't see how it helps being over on the other side of the keyboard. I'm just wondering how much you have to move you hard? As for the nade priming script, I know you hate scripts, but it doesn't make you a perfect player over night, all it does it all you to use the fingers that you would usually use to prime nades for other things.

Ya, I just dont see how you can contol things with the keys all over the place. My 1.2.3.4 are my weapons, forgot to add that. Binded messages are spread around though, since they arent a necessity and I use voice quite a bit.

I though my freakish, left-handed behavior was unheard of. Except I use 0(Ins) as jump and Enter as crouch. Try that one, guarenteed to give you a hand-cramp in the first 5 min

I think I'll have my last comment in tis thread, cause with me being brought up in cs, makes me generally thinking different when it comes to controls. I would never be able to use those controls, I'm always hitting buttons, but what ever floats your boat I guess.

t-det dispencer
r-3rd weapon slot
a-reload
sbar-jump
w-call for med
z-activate (elevators etc.)
q-special ability (sniper zoom, pipe det, etc.)
shift-ingame GUI
tab-show scores
mouse1-primary attack
mouse2-crouch

My numberpad is for team messages, my fkeys are for admin_csay commands, and the numberbar is for changing weapons. I don't have a scroll mouse =(

So HA! Beat that setup =)

Okay, well, hmmmm.... I don't move my hands much at all. Everything is around my arrows (not the keypad arrows). KP INS is my Neo hook (love that thing) KP ENTER is for voice which I activate with my thumb on my mouse hand (mouse and keyboard very close to each other). Shift/control = crouch/jump. Change weapons with wheel. And that about does it for me. I don't use any binds for words because I use voice. My hands stay pretty much in the same position at all times. I have the same mouse as KRG. w00t intelli point!

Now if only I could get used that strafing nonsense, life would be grand. (I know it isn't nonsense, I just hate it. I recently set up a key to use the strafe modifier to try and get used to it. *sigh*)

I've got a good one for ya:

arrow keys: forward/back, strafe
delete: class menu
shift/enter: crouch/jump
/ and . : reload
' : secondary nade
mouse1: fire
mouse2: gren
mouselook on

I use my left pointer and middle finger on the arrows and ring and pinky on the enter/shift keys

I think my left hand config is the reason I have trouble bhopping though
