Here is what it says in the *Wrath Readme* with regard to video mode....

WARNING: This map does NOT look good if you are running
in software mode. For best results, switch your video configuration
to OpenGL or Direct3D.

I was running in d3d mode, but my video card is a terrible Diamond Viper v330 4meg AGP. I want to upgrade, but I first have to get the money for it, and also find a AGP 1.0 compliant video card.

lol! Yes you do need a new vid card. Sad thing is, I remember back in the day when those things were good. I think I might even have a magazine with those in at as "Top line".

I built the computer myself and the only problems I would have are that I need AGP 1.0 Compliant video cards. Thoe only other thing that my cause problems is my 500 mHz AMD K6-2 processor. Oh, I am not buying a new computer either.

Guys...it sounds like he needs a AGP 1.0 video card from what he is saying...

On a side note, you might want to upgrade your system ram as that is probably holding you back more than your processor (your video card is also in need of upgrade). I gamed comfortably on my old AMD k-6 450 MHz but had a 16 meg video card as well as 128 mb of system ram.

My RAM is fine. I am using 128 megs right not, and sometime may upgrade to 256, where I think I will stay. So the only two things holding me back are my video card and my 56k modem. If I was to upgrade both of those, I would be a greater threat than I am now.
