Pointy, if it makes you feel any better I'll replace Newfoundland with Ontario:
Latest news reports advise that a cell of 4 terrorists has been operating in
Ontario, Canada.
Police advised earlier today that 3 of the 4 have been detained. The
Ontario Provincial Police Commissioner stated that the terrorists Bin
Sleepin, Bin Drinkin and Bin Fightin have been arrested on immigration
issues.
The Police advise further that they can find no one fitting the description
of the fourth cell member, Bin Workin, in the province.
Dont worry, police are confident that anyone who looks like Workin will be
very easy to spot in the community..

Ok New Joke for a Hypothetical future where the situation was reversed:
Its the year 2032, as a father and his son walk through the remains of Kabul. The father says thats where the city of Kabul used to be. The son says "what was Kabul dad". It was a great city that was destoyed by the Americans and British. Then the son says "who are Americans and British Dad".

The point of my parody was not that civilisations come and go.
It was that if you found the first joke funny you must logically find my one funny - as they amount to the same thing. One "civilisation" (I use the term loosely) destroying another isn't funny.
