Does anyone know what Codecs I need for Windows media player to watch game demos? Or is there some other way I can watch them... like in the console? If so, what is the command line?
Thanks in advance.

You can convert demos to avi's so you can watch it on Windows Media Player. It's complicated and requires a lot of time but worth the effort. Go here: http://www.planetfortress.com/hlmp/tutorial.asp?ID=83 if you want to try. Make sure you follow the direction that says set your fps to 30. I didn't and my movie is 31 megs for a little 30 second clip. You can make a movie and show off your ownage to your friends. Make sure you have a good mp3 to add on. |
