New To DoD With Questions!

I just downloaded DOD tonight and began to play. I noticed a big lag during gameplay I am using a cable connection so I know it isn't that it seems it is when there is gunfire. Also on alot of servers when I begin to go into the game my game shuts down totally. Why? Is there an update that I can't find for that? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks

What Video card are you using?? IF its any kind of NVIDIA card get the newest Detonator driver that fixed my problem

It is a Rage Mobility. It has worked on the rest of the HL game but this one is running very slowly. Any other info to help?

rage mobility *snicker* laptop *snicker* lol what the hell am i talking about, i used nothing but laptop for games for 3 years.
