Banned Again?

I write with regard to Ivanti 4. I was both surprised and pleased to read that this new server was up. When I try to log on I am told that I am banned from the server. I was banned from Avanti 1 for respawn camping (approximately 2 months ago?). Since, I have been careful to read and understand all the rules and participate in a team like manner. While I have all but given up on getting reinstated into Ivanti 1, I would like the opportuntiy to play on Ivanti 4 in the same spirit that I do in Avanti 2 and 3. Could someone take the time to investigate this on my behalf?

In case you may be wondering, I've never played on Ivanti 4 before.

TV IV was running the banned list from TV I which is why you were denied access. I've removed you from that list on IV so you should be able to get in now. Happy fragging!

Since he seems to be behaving, you could unban him from TV1 as well. I would but I don't have his won ID and I don't have access to the logs to search by name.

This brings up a good point. It appears some admins aren't banning on all servers. I will need to bring that up in the Admins forum.

Meanwhile, glad to see a reformed camper. Hope the game is more fun for you now...

Yea, I'll vouch for him I've been playing with him on TV3 and have had zero problems and actualy enjoy playing TFC with him.

I was just browsing through the forum when I discovered this old post. Thank you for cutting me a break and taking notice of my efforts to play fair. I'm so excited I'm going straight to Ville 1. Do they still have "MEGA KILL" echoing in the background?

My excitement seems to be premature. I appear to still be banned from Ville 1. Regardless of the outcome, it was nice to have my team play acknowledged.

Another question, if a rule is not stated in the intro text when joining the server, is it right for the admin to ban people without explaining why? I was banned from a server, not one of TheVille, for my old name, HaCkEr CeNtRal, without an explanation.

While the majority of my on-line gaming has been experienced through The Ville, I have to assume that the bulk of administration is more than fair. With specific regard to The Ville, it is (in my minds eye), a unique server in that so many of the participants take such a proactive role in making the server better. Its quick growth along with my own loyalty is testament to this.
