Only frowned on by people who can't avoid them on the balcony  Same people who complain about snipers and medics and HW and spies and SGs...
It used to be frowned on when it overworked the displays on the old pentium 100s with 4meg graphic cards over a 28K modem. That was then, this is now. It is a viable startagy and more demos should do it.
I do recall once when my team was getting owned so badly that no matter what class I changed too I couldn't seem to effect the game play. It was on a NEO map and the snipes couldn't and the engies wouldn't and the HW shouldn't have. It was very frustrating and I said, this game is supposed to be fun...bye. Usually I just keep trying classes untill I can help change the flow.

Been there done that. Only once, but not to long ago. My team was not working as a team, and I could never get the flag to cap it. I know the feeling whyb, and when it happens it is best to get off and stay off for a while, IMO.

Cool, thanx! Although, admittedly, I'll have a good whine about spies. But I'll just run away from them from now on.
Also, what about setting 50-second detpacks at the backdoor just before you lose cap 4? There was a bit of a debate about whether that's allowed a couple of nights ago, but for the most part I saw "no".
