It is hard to contemplate dying at so young an age, especially from cancer. My mother-in-law fought breast cancer and later died of leukemia (likely induced by chemotherapy). The thought of getting cancer frightened my wife badly after her mother died, and my wife was only in her 20s then, too.
I know in the post you reference, you say you didn't get too emotional, but this man's death obviously effected you in some way. Remember him, and his spirit will live on; and pass the boot or whatever you feel driven to do--all these things will help you and others who knew him and cared about him adjust to his untimely passing.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you and this man's family. |
