I go with Trillian-it has MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ, and IRC all in one chat client. Really kicks the proverbial ass.
Get it here: http://www.trillian.cc |

Ya, but trillian doesn't slow you down, it doesn't have all those ad requests and crap that aim does.

Wow just read their privacy notice and FAQ about them.
They must not have any lawyers or corporate types working for them yet!
Nice looking program without banners and spyware.
I'm going to try it. =====================================================================================
Found this though
"If you want your system messed up, download this."
This program, although very good, installs some major spyware onto your computer, which is not detected by AD-Ware, and is not removed when uninstalling the application. You have to boot into safe mode just to delete the DLL files for the spyware, and then use regedit to do a massive fix job. The spyware in question also messes up your system big time if it is not removed, of if it is removed incorrectly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"EXPOSES PASSWORD"
This program is ok except for one or two glitches. It was working woop-dee-doo till I discovered that it displays your hotmail password in both the TITLE BAR and the ADDRESS BAR of your browser window when you use the msn "Check Mail" link from within the program. As well, in case you or someone else doesn't recognize your password....it says "passwd = " then your password. The contact list organization is also troublesome.

I can almost confirm that is total bull. Many many people at the dslreports security forum liked that program, and many of them are big time system admins, etc. If you want to ask them go here: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/security,1
The ,1 is part of the hyperlink, you'll need to copy it into your browser if the link isn't auto created.
I have very very tight rules on my firewall, and have never ever seen any connection from any spyware in trillian, the only connections I've ever seen were to the Toc aol server, the icq server, irc servers, and direct connections to other people while sending files, etc.
