I was searching around a bit and found the #4 server up. Was wondering if it's official?
I wont say the IP in case its not ready yet.

I don't know the answer to your question, but Robert can surely answer this one. I do know that the server has been ordered, but do not think that it is active. Maybe Rob can clarify this for us?

Mr. Munkeyeye has donated his T1 and server to The Ville. It will run the same time as the other servers, 5:30p.m. to 8:00a.m. PST. It is a west coast server!! It's up for testing all weekend so we need to test it out to see if it makes the cut

The IP address is 38.170.116.186
The server that was ordered from the donations we recieved will be here Tuesday. Then it will have to assembled and tested. So it now it looks like we'll have TV 1-5 instead of just 4. So make sure and stop by TV4!!! It's just running Avanti right now, which should give it a good test when it's full. Thanks again Munkeyeye!!

P.S. If everything goes OK, stats will be kept starting Monday.

MunkeyEye thanks from the bottom of my west coast pinging heart! Just was in and had a ping of 29 with some negative spikes to 10

I almost felt like a bot. (neg spikes??? haha)

Good luck with all the hard work getting the bugs out and getting things running smoothly.

What type of server is the one on order? Guts wise. Since we build all our own computers. I'm just wondering how you might be thinking when building one for game server applications.

Thanks everyone and glad to know you're getting ping rates you deserve roof! It's been a great pleasure hanging out with all of you and this is the least I can do to help contribute to our growing community here at The Ville!

In addition to beta-launching TV IV this weekend, it has also been an awesome week for [LB] too, with the launch of our own website and making it to #1 on the ville clan stats with 6 members taking the top 14!... or 5 members taking the top 11, whichever sounds more impressive!

Fear not Munkey, when I get home from work tonight, I plan on tearing up theville until I make it to the top 5. Hopefully we can put 6 members in the top 10, That would be cool.

Btw, for those interested in the server specs on TV IV, it's running on a PIII 500 with 192MB ram. This will be upgraded to ~1.15GB RAM tomorrow! Stats will also be turned on for this server too tomorrow.

I was interested to learn from the above that The Ville at one point or another was receiving donations for operating costs. Given that I almost exclusively use The Ville and am pleased with the positive gaming environment, I would be happy to contribute.
