I was aiming for the content rather than the writing style.

I thought it was really interesting. I didn't know that there were actual physical places that acted as root for the world's DNS addys. Kinda cool how you have to take out over half of the servers to make any kind of noticable change in service.

That was a facinating article, but it kind of worries me. It kind of lets terrorist types know that there is a target out there that if destroyed, could damage the world wide web.

Any of you ever heard of "Playtronics"? (obscure movie reference) I'll bet everything about the "red brick office building" says "Go Away"....
Ok, back to the topic... if I've understood how the systems works, it should be pretty easy to reorganize "the internet", since all the addresses and things are always being updated and expanded... No doubt if that place got destroyed, it'd cause a lot of havoc, but all the routers, etc etc etc should be able to reestablish their DNS tables rapidly. (within hours/day or 2)
It's not like everything in the world goes through the one building, just the lists of addresses that are gathered by the countless other servers/routers.
Then again, maybe if a moth clogs one of the cooling fans, causing a small fire, the 'net will go down, and none of us will be able to play TFC or read the forums anymore! OH MY GOD, GUARD THAT BUILDING!
