So just what is the correct way to install new video drivers? I think last time i did it, i had to delete previous version and it seemed a hassle. is it usually quick and easy? I have a GeForce2GTS. I have updated once before but it was a while ago. Thanks

Generally, the process is painless. For most updates, there is a page of instructions at the site. But, the way I do it is, click the download link. When the pop-up appears asking what I want to do, I say *save* and choose my desktop. Then, if there isn't an automatic install, when the DL is done it will again ask what you want to do. I always click the *open* button. Doing this will bring up the Install Wizard. Click through the wizard as you usually would for an install, and you're done. You may or may not need to restart your computer, depending on the DL. Of course, it will let you know. You can then go delete the file from your desktop.

The absolute correct way is to do what you did before sheartab. Uninstall the old and install the new. That way you have no conflicting entries. I do think they made some progress with the new driver updates and install programs where you don't have to do that anymore.

Yes, most overclocking sliders I can think of need to have a reg edit made to enable them. Search around the internet for your specific reg edit.
