The CPL is a business that organizes LAN's and pays out prize money to the winner. TFC has been given a BYOC event, but a lot of people have been unable to go due to travel costs, or they just simply don't want to bring their computer. TFC is close to being cancelled, but they have extended a deadline till next Monday. If you live in Texas, or just want to go, SIGN UP!! We need about 40 more people to make it into the tournament.

How do those things work? Do you register as a clan or something, or just as individuals? I've always wanted to check one of these out, but there aren't any up here in Wisconsin.

Actually they have tournaments for CS in which you register clans. They also have single player QIII tourneys of which Johnathan Wendel has been the World CPL champ for 2 years in a row. Winning one of those gets you big deals in Soft drinks and other stuff. In Korea where professional gaming is big they even have Starcraft Doritos and shoes.
