Academics to take a tour of The Ville

Tomorrow, March 19th, between 11am and 12:30pm eastern time, The Ville will be a stop on a show-and-tell tour of PC Games at Carnegie Mellon University. I'm doing a little thing in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute, getting all high-brow about why interaction designers should be paying close attention to games. Cool thing is, I get to put TFC up on a big screen and wire it into an auditorim sound system. I wonder if they'll let me leave it set up all night.

We'll say hey when we arrive. I'll mark myself as part of the CMU clan, just for the occasion <grin>.

So now when someone complains about how much time you spend playing TFC, you can explain that you are contributing to a research effort.

Aren't some of the Ville servers closed at that time during weekdays? I was just reminding you in case you can't get in.

Which Ville Exactly will this be on? VI, V, or VI? Those are the only ones open at that time.

I figured I would pick a server when the time came, unless you would prefer I choose in advance. You know, see what's available, what map it's on, how many people are in there, etc.

Think I can give the whole audience motion sickness?
