bug on avanti

i was playing in theville 4 today and i was standing at the gate before it opened, a sniper was shooting me with nailgun and it "HIT" me. this isn't the first time it happened it also happened at other server(not theville) that my brother play on. He was a sniper and he was shooting with sniper rifle and he "killed" the person behind the gate before it opened and was banned because people thought he was cheating.
i just want admins to know this so they don't ban people because of this bug

Were you leaning up against the gate? This is the surest way to get whacked if you were.

That happens when your face is smooshed against the gate aka really close to it. It should'nt be a problem if you're not near it. Demo guys will also have problems setting det packs at the gate if there's an opponent right across from him. Thanks for letting us know about this!

i don;t really know how close i was to the gate because i was trying to show the chiken butt(when i was changed into a chiken)

i dont really think this is cheating. when i am on attackers i usually build a SG in front of the gate and it can shoot rockets through the gate if someone walks by. It is common knowledge that you an shoot through gates with nailguns if you stad really close to it.

The flame thrower also works at the gates. Anything explosive does some amount of damage when you're both right at the gate.

Sniper rifles also work through the gate, as I was pleasntly surprised to find out before the gates opened. I guess that'll teach to stick their noses through the gate, ehhh? I don't think this is a huge bug, it's kinda helpful to keep demo men from sitting up right against the gate. Just don't stand right next to the gate. Hehe...

I LOVE that glitch. Its so fun to wipe a HWgu out before the gate opens. Its rather difficult to do, but it sure teaches em a lesson!

It's hilarious when I'm playing medic and I infect some n00b through the gate. The n00b realizes he can be hit and runs back infecting Everyone

The whole respawn is either chewing out the n00b or screaming "What the Hell?!?"

OMG, that person on that other server was banned for the most stupid reason: shooting through the gates. I do that all the time. I still don't believe there's people that run up to the gate and get their head blown off.
