Quote from the Mayor from earlier post in FAQ "no more badlands-??-GOOD"
Maybe things are different now or ???

Murderball will only be allowed 1 sniper per team. It will not be a sniper map. It DOES require alot of teamplay to win.

There are plenty of empty Mulch servers available for you and LBC to use.

I wouldn't mind the sniping if it weren't so freaking indescriminate. I've played with toooooo many snipers who just pop people for no reason. I enjoy the challenge of assaulting a base with a sniper in it, but it is no fun when 2 other snipers are looking for people attacking another base so they can get easy kills. Personally when I snipe that map I go for the snipers and hunt them with a vengenace (something I get yelled at a lot for).

We'll its no stat week and I've just found out that snipers are cool. yeah you heard me I love them.
What you ask????

Yep while they are up there trying to get the guys running around you just walk up to the bottom and rocket jump up and get them personally or gernade spam them to death.
Forget the ball thats "Murder"...No pun intented heee. Just get the snipers. not only doing all the other players a favor but your stats also improve by whacking high scoring snipes. There is nothing they can do about it except change classes or snipe from inside there respawn. heee
I told you I love snipes.

High-end snipers tend not to get killed so easily because we relocate often. Anyone can walk up to the tower or the passage way and huck an emp or mirv in. The best snipers are those that use stealth and ingenuity and keep their opponents guessing.

Ok I know this is repeating alot of people, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. make Murderball sniper less !!!
I played it last night for the first time, and it was alot of fun, but the one thing that ruined it was the sniper(s) that just stayed put in their "comfy" towers popping people off with no real reason behind it besides gettin easy kills ... Your not defending anything, your team hasn't got the ball, your team is nowhere in sight. shooting players as they run from their base to a different base thats got the ball, is plain annoying.
I may be missing the point of the game, but I thought it was to get the ball and hold it. If another team has the ball, then go get the thing off them. Not to sit in an empty base sniping at passers by...

Guys, guys, guys

There are two rules in Murderball I follow

1- Work the three teams as one to get the ball back.

2- If a sniper goes after you and snipes you. Go after him with a soldier of HWG. There aren't too many safe spots on the map for a sniper to hide. Once you kill them, kill them when they come back to their spot again, and again. I made two snipers change classes last night on Murderball due to this. I was very blunt in saying. You can snipe, but I'll come after you OR change classes and go after that damn ball that Robert E. Lee has had for the last 8 minutes.

Frag - thats all very well, and I had fun going after a single sniper last night as well - (he eventually left the game). The thing is, while I was doing that, I was not doing what I should have been doing - going for the ball. Basically, lets eliminate the need to do these things by setting snipes to 0 on Murderball. I would put my ass on the line that the motion would win if put to a vote.

Indeed Frag that was a great game (luckily I was on Rob's team ). I did see a few times Frag would simply say "Visit" and I chuckled as I knew some poor snipe was going to wind up a cold cadaver. And your right Rob holds on to that ball pretty well

Listen people, I find one sniper in Murderball to be perfect. I often get shot down by them when I am going for the ball or when I am going for another base. Thats how the game works!!! You need to supress the sniper fire while storming the base that has the ball, it will require teamwork, and thats what makes this map work.

When I do snipe, I will pick off whomever I see, especially if they are attacking me, my base or my team members. Also, when the ball is dropped a sniper can take out countless players until his team members have a chance to get out there to get the ball. Once the ball is in the base, the sniper can pick off anyone trying to attack the base so the defenders inside the base have a chance to recover.

Long live the sniper!

Everyone should know how to deal with snipers by now, if not go back to square one and play some 2fort. Its a very popular map and its also a sniper map.

Thats it, quit your whining and let me get back to sniping you 20 times in a game.

JD

Just one more vote for removing snipers from murderball. And if any sniper lovers have anything to say about it, take on my soldier in avantiville.

Just my two cents, but I love Murderball, and the one sniper rule. I had a blast playing it last night, even if we did have a few snipers who were very indiscriminate on who they would shoot.

We did have one who got on my nerves (and a few other peoples), which several of us hunted for a little while. He shut up after that, and the game proceeded quite well.

My suggestion is when a snipe is playing that way, just go after him a couple of times. That always makes me feel good.
