There is a possibility that my friend might be running a TFC server in the not so distant future. What I'm wondering is, neither me nor him have any experience in running a server. So... what do I need? What do I need to know? Money? etc. Any information would be valuable, thx

Running a server is somewhat easy if you have good admins, and a stable connection with a good computer. I have a server set up, but I don't have the bandwidth. First off, adminmod is godlike  That should be just about the base of your server, then you can add things like cs-guard, plugins, neotf, etc.
