I'm easily startled. I get near-heart attacks every time a beastie spawns in my face. This kinda deterred me from playing the last year.

I almost did lol, I managed to fall inside his brain, but then he shot all those lil electric blobs into me and i died.

Here is a little cheat that you can use in single player mode! type god in consle to get godmode type noclip or clip in consle to get noclip and type /notarget to not get shot at! Congrats!

lol i beat the game three time and i beat the last time using cheat code in colsole. i can fly around and god mode lol

I just installed it, got TFC and I've been hooked ever since.

anyone who has finished the HL single-player without using cheats won't say it sucks. It is one of the best single-player games ever, and has one of the best stories ever seen in a FPS.

Once you get past the first stages, the storyline sucks you in and doesn't let go until the end. I recommend toughing out the beginning to get farther along. Oh BTW, HL is nearly 5 years old, it was state of the art as far as story and graphics back in the day.
