It would be interesting to know the history timeline of "?"Ville. It might me nice as a page on this site.

Congrats to the new admins - lots of responsibility, lots of work; thank a lot. I though there was a listing of the admins somewhere. Am I missing something?

JD posted a history once upon a time. Finding it maybe hard. I'm pretty sure it is in the new forums.

Here it is! This is a post from JCOM that found it. JohnDoe wrote it sometime before that. I found it now and have the priviledge to post it forward.

Here it is my old friend JD....

-August 2001 - Servers renamed to The Ville
-July 2001 - Avantiville 3 is added. (Thanks LlamaBeans)
-Mayish 2001 - Avantiville 2 goes Avanti/Warpath after trying several
different map combos. (Can you say "They hate Cornfield")
-March 2001 Avantiville website comes up - Thanks Rob.
-Mar 2001 Avantiville 2 is added.
-Feb 2001 Avantiville 1 returns.
-Jan 2001 Avantiville 1 goes DoD and is called War Wounds.
-Oct 2000 Avantiville 1 is created.
-Oct 2000 Turkeyburgerville goes away, Warpathville is tried briefly.
-Sept 2000 JD becomes an admin at Turkeyburgerville.
-Spring 2000 JD Discovers Turkeyburgerville, is hooked and spends far too
much time there. Learns all about sniping, respawn campers and some of the
perils of running a server from a fella called Eddie Munster. Also meets
some interesting people called Cadman and JohnCarterofMars.

No there is no place in the forums to find the names. Except by scanning all the posts and picking out the admin stars.
There is a list of admins when you join each map. I dont know if the new ones are up or not. Have to go check.

As I remember it, with the new maps and servers and such it was now beyond "just" Avanti.

Avantiville is no more.. We have branched out to more than just avanti so we decided to have our name reflect that. The servers will be renamed accordingly also. TheVille.org I, TheVille.org II, TheVille.org III are now the new names of the servers. Also.. The IP address for TV II will now be 66.35.137.250.
I hope you enjoy the speed and look of the new site.

opps this is a 3 word post. I better add some.

You forgot about the time Greebo Bound Killers fire button to kill and just about got us both thrown out of the ville! We were using the same cd key.
This all happened while we were both playing and I did not even notice! till Killer came out of his rooom whining about dieing everytime he hit fired. Pretty funny now, not them though. He almost lost his computer over that one.
