Have you changed anything in your game executable config?

Check out the following link.
http://www.planetfortress.com/tfc/tfctech/other.shtml
here is what it says in a nutshell:
Look in your tfc folder for a folder called cl_dlls, the client.dll file should be in there. Rename the file to client.bak and then try again. (note:this only applies to the cl_dlls folder in the TFC folder, the cl_dlls folder in the valve folder is needed for you to be able to play Half-life (and TFC) and must not be deleted or modified). |

Thank you TVBers for the quick response too bad I am stuck at work or I would try it out. Yes KRG I was screwing with my Sierra folder last night, so I am sure I screwed it up. I will use your advice CyCoDaD and thanks again for the info, see you on the ville (Hopefully)

I switched the client.dll to client.bak listed under tfc/classes/cl_dlls but I had no luck same error message. I did not touch the same file in the valve folder like you said. Is there anything else I can do? Will I have to reinstall everything!?!? |

I hate to suggest it but do a reinstall may be your next option.
Just before you do that head over to planetfortress.com and check their forums and post your question there. It will be seen by many many more people than here.
