as an avid reader at the time of issue I would just like to put in context what the situation was....

.25 cents bought

5 pieces of bazooka bubble gum

2 pixie sticks

1 coke, 7 oz

1 pack of cinimmon toothpicks

1 archie comic

Betty Rubble was the hot babe of the day... although when you have all of the items above the comic....who needed women!

ps.....25 cents was hard to come by!

Is Archie actually dating either of them? It seems like he's dating Veronica, but isnt he just then constantly cheating on her with Betty? That comic confuses me greatly.

I'm a child of the sixties/seventies so I remember wearing those loud, long collared shirts, bell bottoms and listening to the Bay City Rollers.....

I was a teenager when the punk era started! And I'm not the only one here who remembers that....

isn't that right, Preacher/Squirrel/Frosty?

Although I didn't grow up with Archie comics, I started reading them while waiting at checkouts in local Canadian supermarkets and there's quite a weird thing going on. I understand the whole Archie/Betty/Veronica love triangle thing but what is the point of Jughead..????
And why does he have his own comic now?
And why are these comics so popular?

And why do Canadian checkouts take so long that I can read an Archie comic...?
