It's unfortunate these drones get so much attention since they give us "news"

rofl, i saw the live conference with Parcels this morning..
man are news reporters dumb/assholes. They ALL asked the same question over and over, and Bill Parcels kept on politely saying he didn't know anything. But yet they kept on asking him over and over.
and you can see the frusteration in Parcel's face, man i thought he was going to blow
man i hope to never become famous, i wouldn't be able to stand reporters.... |

The whole sports world makes me sick. T.O. is no one special at all. Who gives a flyin rats ass if he went into the emergency room. "Regular" people treat "stars" as gods. Do you really have nothing better to do than read about someone else??? I see it here sometimes too. People who Pwn seem to have more "respect" just cuz they have a good k:d ratio. When really guys like me n ellroy and frosty play it unselfishly so the other people can advance the team. I have no problem being the first guy to run around the corner into a hail storm of bullets, lol check out my k:d in the stats.
Anyway, w00t for us middle class winners!

i completely agree, over glorifying people is completely stupid...i have much more respect for heart surgeons and firefighters than athletes who do nothing to further mankind what so ever

Although I agree with the first part of your post, glorifying althletes does contribute to society, even if glorifying amateur athletes is the better way to go. If you look at a little kid who idolizes his or her favourite all-star is going to want to be just like him or her and that includes participating in sports!

yeah i was mistaken...im a fan of amateur athletes because they dont do it for the money
my friend is an amateur athlete and he loves the sport he's in more than anything else in life
