Agent X said it best IMHO, he died doing what he enjoyed. Thats much better than dieing in a hospital bed with a ton of tubes sticking out of you.
I know that when I die I want to go quietly in my sleep, not in terror and fear like my passengers. _________________

I feel bad for his family. He has also done much for the environment. He was truly an icon of our time.
To note about his death, its suspected that he cornered a stingray buried in the sand, the stingray flipped over and stuck him with his needle thing. They say being stung is like getting stabbed by a rusty knife. Ouch.
RIP Steve Irwin, may you wrestle that alligator that stole Bub's hand in Happy Gilmore in heaven. _________________

honestly when I first heard about it I laughed too...
I thought about the one Carlos Mencia joke he had about the Crocodile Hunter and mixing in going to Oakland, CA. It just made me think of that and I laughed a good deal...but yes it's sad. I would love to die doing what I love cause in reality...we die when we least expect it. _________________

I found out about it this morning. Lance found an article on it and we thought it was a hoax.. till we visited the CNN site and found it there too. =/
He would've survived if the sting ray had not stabbed him right through the heart. But this was a fate he couldn't escape from this time. No one expected it to happen. =/
I wish his wife and two kids the best. _________________

His family here in Eugene, Oregon will miss him much. His wife is from here and they have a small ranch outside of town.
As for me dying doing what I love: probably a freak tile setting accident. Oh well. _________________ Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!

While I don't believe in religion, I think Ricen's signature is somewhat in order here.
Though taken away very early and from a rather odd accident, we should be thankful that this person even lived and accomplished what he has in that time.
Still, he was one of those people that you thought were supposed to be immortal, kind of like Bob Barker.
I'm a tad depressed and disappointed with all of this. _________________

when i heard the news...i was in complete shock.
i am still in disbelief...
he was a great icon of our time...loved first his family and the animals...
i do agree...he died doing what he loved...
he definitely left a life of legacy for his wife and children...he is truly the "crocodile hunter."
