virus/trojan

Alright. I no longer know what to do. I have something on my computer. All its doing is giving me a bunch of popups and basically giving me an icon in my botton right tray that flashes and tells me that my computer has something wrong with it and if i buy either of these 3 softwares or w/e they can be used to wipe the virus/trojan out...

Ive run adaware to its fullest extent...cleaning as deeply as possible...ive run zone alarms anti virus and spyware searches and it cant get rid of it. I even got a full version of mcafee and ran that and it finds nothing...

ANY MORE IDEAS!?

restore you comp to factory settings....like when you first got it that should work...

im not doing a complete wipe....that would be terribly bad for me...i personally dont have my windows cd and if i wiped i would lose a lot of stuff.......do you have like aim or yahoo or msn so this could be easier?

ok you will get it back but i will tell you how to do it go to programs. then go to accesories. then go to system tools and the go to syste restore...and set it to a dat far back to where you didnt have the virus and then you wont get the virus til the day you had it...make sence?

hmmm...i didn't have it a week ago....so if i went back to like 8 days ago...i could get the virus no matter what in a couple days?

YOu have a hijacker. It will be a pain in the ass to remove, but can be done. If you have access to a second computer with Internet and a Printer it will be alot eaiser though. Do a search for the program it is tring to get you to buy. You should find detailed instructions on how to remove it. It may take hours though depending on the hijacker. I know PSguard took me 3 days to get rid of completely, and Truth Cleaner took me 4 hours last time.

yea...after lots of research ive figured out that its calle d
iworm_attck_v122.02a

and basically everything ive seen basically said to download xoftspy and that will almost definately get rid of it after no more then 3 scans
