Huh? Conroe's already available now.

At least some of the processors are, I'm not sure if the higher clocked ones are available yet.

The chip as in... ?

The link I posted was for the Conroe processor (or chip if you want to call it that).

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding.

the conroe is the the chip name for the desktop core 2 duo, wich has been out for a month now.

Yes backwards, its true. I had falsified information when I told you they' were not available yet. They are available. For those of you confused as to what conroe is:

Supposedly its THE intel chip to bring down the AMD giant. Its cheaper, faster, and cheaper than AMD's FX-62 (which as we know it was the fastest thing for what...two years?, at least the FX line anyways). If I had the money, and were building a system today, i would go conroe.

On a bad side...there' arent too many motherboards available for conroe yet. They're slim pickins, and a bit pricey.

partially not true about the expensive mobo's. About %50 of them on neegg are normal priced, except they go out of stock quickly.
