Rant: Im getting worried...

that we should password TV2 to Forum / TV regs only... I know this is a crappy idea but stuff I've seen lately is giving me this idea...

1. Total newbies.. I dont mean like your average new player, I mean like quotes like "WTF is THIS?" "WTF ?""" "WTF???" and they're all named "(1)Private" or "Imgonnafuckyou"

2. I was on tonight and it was essentially me vs the world. My team mates were all standing around in respawn shooting at each other and setting up sniper positions behind the last flag (as in, where no enemy will ever come) Repeated attempts of "Hello? Anyone care to help me?" and "GUYS?""" Revealed not a single response. They would even stand 2 inches from an enemy flag and just stare at it for minutes on end till I would run by and get it myself.

3. People with names like "Penis_ass_rape" who come on and say, "What's TVB?", and after a response, wittingly say, "TVB is for $@!!$! ^#$^ @$^@#^@!!!"

Sorry you had to have an experince like that. I and a lot of the admins have been playing there and will take care of any we see. I hope this is the exception and not the norm.

I think #1 and 2 are going to be with us for a while, since DoD is so new. I know it took me a while to figure out how big the maps were and where to go, and especially how to use the TNT and bangalores! I try to be helpful to people who clearly don't know what they're doing.. that's the spirit of The 'Ville.

As for the vulgar names, that's what admins are for. We're usually available via ICQ during hours the servers are running. If none are around, you are encouraged to ask them to change their name, but don't let it get heated. If they don't comply, let it go and we'll deal with them.
