I just installed/tested my new GeForce 7950 GX2 1gig GDDR3 PCI express videocard ($600, ouch!) I added a gig of ram too

It runs Dod source at 1200x1600, full detail, HDR on so smooth!!! I'm stoked!!! I haven't tested any of my other games yet. But let me tell you guys Source is wayyyyyy better when you got the horsepower for it. Here's specs on my new beefed up system:

AMD athlon 64 3500+ 2188Mhz
1.96 gig RAM
GeForce 7950 GX2 1gig GDDR3 PCI express videocard
I use a 21" flat CRT that r0x too!

Anyway, it was pricey, but I'm happy

and the latest and greatest graphic powered games would be...

Oblivion, Call of Duty 2, and Source games (ie dod, cs, hl), EA Sports 06 series games, and Battlefield 2

and upcoming games for pc will be: Medal of Honor: Airborne, the new Brothers in Arms, Halo 2 (vista required), Battlefield 2142, Unreal Tournament 2007, EA Sport 07 Series games, and more Steam games

Looks like my average fps is 75. It moves between 60 and 80 but says in the 70s mostly.

To add to the list of games, I personally like the look of F.E.A.R.

Plus it's much more "scarier" than Doom 3

oooooh i can't beleive i forgot about fear, damn what was i thinking, and the icon is sitting on my desktop too lol. yeah i heard about crysis from EA games, i haven't seen a trailer around for it yet.

you might also like to try Ghost Recon: Advanced Warifighter. its not really a graphics hog but more of a whole computer hog, cause you are able to move through the WHOLE city, like you can go anywhere in the city during the mission, its sweet.
