You have something against squirrels ?

I ain't got nuthin' against your average, happy go lucky, pecan eatin' squirrels that inhabit the 2 trees in my backyard. I'm talkin' about that pesky home invadin', commando squirrel I call Big Red.

Big Red is always on the search for an open patio door or window. Big Red who stands at the top of the stairs and barks and swishes his tail until every animal in the house once again goes in search of the little red troublemaker.

Thanks to Big Red, the cat is in trauma over the hideous tree incident and the boxer is still trying to extricate its head from wall it crashed into.

If that wasn't bad enough, Big Red has a cohort in crime, an overweight racoon I call Wily. Wily Racoon, who ended up on my enemies list for using my truck like it was his own personal Lazyboy.

I make no apologies, they have both felt the sting of lukewarm water traveling at high speed.

The only part of that story that is an exaggeration is the Boxer dog's head going through the wall. For her part though, she did put a pretty good dent in it.

Just additional information and just to prove to Squirrel I'm not Anti-squirrel or something, I've been dealing with Big Red for several years. Every spring Big Red climbs into our dogwood tree and barks, swishes his tail, and throws pecan nut hulls at cats, dogs, and human (that would be me) just to announce that he is back. I think someone failed to inform Big Red as to who's name was on the mortgage.

Now, I'm not crazy enough to think this has been the same squirrel all along. In fact, I know it's not. Last fall, when we were doing that pre-winter yard cleanup, I found a very dead big red squirrel close to where we had buried our pet pug. He and the pug had been friends of sorts because pugs have no bias, even towards red commando squirrels.

I gave the squirrel a burial beside the pug and stupid as it sounds, I was just a little bit sad cause he was gone. That and fact I had just invested $15.00 in a new super-soaker. Oh well, there's always that stinkin' racoon.

This past March, when it started to finally warm up, I noticed the squirrels moving about the pecan trees. Wasn't long, I heard a familiar barking sound. Upon investigation, I saw it was a little red squirrel, I'm thinkin', Son of Big Red, just as mean and evil acting as his father.

Oh yea, it's on now, time to fuel up the ole Super Soaker. It was money well invested. Evidently, before Big Red went to Squirrel Heaven, he passed on all his knowledge to his little nut-nazi prodigy. Son of Big Red who has no fear of great white hunter cats, shaggy shiitzus, or humans bearing water guns.

nice shot... they're gonna mess with you so you should mess with them... next time fill a supersoaker with something sticky like maple syrup then see how they like it... ha ha ha it may taste good but getting it out of their hair will be a fun thing to watch them do....

on a side note... we have a gopher in the grass out front of our station and i have to say ... he's much better than a squirrel... cause he's "straight outta compton"

You need a supersoaker like what I have. It is one of those Constant Pressure System ones and has a backpack tank. It has enough force to knock over a medium sized dog (I did not do it intentionally, he ran into the stream). Just imagine what it would do to a squirrel.
