I grabbed the whois info....it's registered from Texas, but no good contact info to find out.

I tried to access the site from the whois page and got the following message:

i saw some ytmnd about it where they investigated it, they still couldn't find much but a ton of codes. My guess is its just marketing.

It's just some publicity stunt. People will go there once the timer reaches 0 and be introduced to some new exciting website and/or product. *yawn*

It's counting down to midnight July 1st, according to the source code:

var launch=new Date('00:00:00 July 01, 2006');

Launch implies a launch date, so it's probably counting down to a release date, for a game or a movie or something?

The site will barely load for me. Sometimes it shows a broken image and a counter, and other times it doesn't load at all.
