hmmm where to start......

- i always wear my seatbelt.
- i always have all my gear on when on the motorcycle.

ok, so yesterday i drove to paris plage, toquet in France. ~250 miles back and forth.
+100F, and i wore my helmet, leather gloves, leather 2 piece suit, ridingboots.

i don't like warm weather to begin with, i sweat easily. still i wore all that gear yesterday. and hell, was it hot!

i'll tell you something, if you ride a motorcycle you take an extra risk. as a rider it is something that you have to be aware of. if you drive a car, you have a cage to protect you. on a motorcycle you have nothing except the gear you wear.

you can go down any time, by your own mistake or by that of somebody else. i wear my gear because i like my skin where it is.

the guy is old enough to make his own disicions.
I certainly do not wish him an accident because he rides without gear, but even as a fellow rider no best wishes or prayers from me.
he decided to ride without any gear, now he has to pay for his mistake and i hope he learned his lesson.
(all his injuries are to his head, with a helmet the only thing he might of had was a concussion.)

Cobra I'm with you buddy. I have a ZX-10. When I ride it's with all the gear. Back when I was young and stupid I rode with no gear in shorts and flip flops and I've got scars to prove it. I learned my lesson and I hope Ben does too. Remember if you ride wear the gear theirs alot of stupid people out there. #Crazy

I've rode zx-6's, zx-7's, and zx-10's. I started on a 6. The 6's and 7's handle better but the 10's have the power. No more wanting more power for me when I'm entering a freeway or passing 5 cars. Really the 10's are more of a touring bike. Infact I've gone back to the older zx-10's. I'm on an 86 now because it has less rake and is more comfortable. Wish I could ride in europe with you that would rock

The first one is my last bike 88 ZX-10 and the second is my current bike 86 ZX-10.

yup, zx10 is more touring orientated. that's why i opted for the 6.

i love carving the corners, so the lighter bike is certainly an advantage there.
the 6 will beat the 10 in the corners, it will pass you on the straithaways though. lol
and as long as you stay high enough in revs, you have more then enough power. certainly for the street.

next year: trackdays!
