I've got 3 ram sticks, all 512, x2 are 3200 PCI and x1 is 2700. Which would be better? 1.5 Gigs at 2700 or 1 Gig at 3200? I think it's the 1 gig but I don't know. _________________

Well 1 gig of 3200 would be best IMHO
Regressing back wouldn't be good as 2700 if I remember right is 266 and 3200 is 400mhz

I've been wondering the same thing. Right now I have the same situation and I have all three sticks in right now. So it would be better if I take out the slower stick? Maybe I'll just buy another dual channel kit to make 2GB... _________________

It really depends on on thing, is the 2 3200 the same and does your motherboard support dual channel? If so then pull that slower chip out, if not it wont really make that much of a difference _________________ http://www.barbertonrhps.com - The offical Website for Barberton's West Theater Rocky Horror Picture Show in Ohio

even if they are the same they have to be branded as daul cahnnel and packaged together or else they wont dual channel.
try experimenting with slower 1.5gigs or the faster 1gig and see whats better for you. obserbve your framrates in game and compare them. also see if you notice a difference multitasking on your desktop. _________________ R.I.P. Blue |
