Stat Cheaters Suck

I can't believe this guy did that!?!!

What was he thinking? Who could not notice that a guy that the best players here can beat, has a better score than anyone? I had a couple of rocket duels with him and he pretty much beat me most times. But then, I don't rank that high! I'm sure Magnetron or other top notch soldier would have had him bouncing like a pinball.

Am I missing something. What I think Robert is saying is the stats were adjusted or misused in some way. Or was this an in-game cheat that gave him an advantage over other players? Both are bad but in -game cheats effect not only him in the positive but also us in the negative.

however he did it, and whatever excuses he uses, he should not be let back on the servers. Let him use his cheats elsewhere. There are plenty of public servers out there where he can do whatever he wants. In other words, let this be a lesson for him to maybe grow up a bit.

how did he cheat? I don't understand. Did he hack into the stat system or something? Can someone explain?

I know what it is. As Robert said before. If we said what the glitch is, it could comprimise the whole usage of the stats program. I know this sounds like a big secret, but it has to be this way in this instance or there will probably be no stats.

JD & Rob are right not to explain how he did it, else it will open whole a can of worms and if everyone works out what he did and started doing it, you may as well kiss the stats goodbye and its going to make playing a complete farce .....

Hey, kudos to the Ville staff for the quick and decisive response. Just another example of stat-obsession at work. Maybe having the Top 5 on the front page isn't such a good idea? It kind of gives the impression that stats are important here, when in fact most of the regulars play just for the fun of it. That impression may have lead a guy like Demsy to do this in the first place, to try to make a mark for himself rather than just have a good time.

Good point Thom, Having the top 5 on the front page will entice people to try to make the list. This is fine as long as they do it fairly. I don't think you can blame the top 5 for cheating. Some people play for fun, and some for stats, but I don't think it really matters to anyone how other people play. I say leave the top 5 there. Some people like it, and for those who don't care about stats, they shouldn't care if the list is there or not.

I am the leader of BR, and I'm expected to make a speech, but I won't. This is just another s***** thing that has happened to me today. Please don't hold him accountable. If anyone should be it is me. The leaders of any organization need to take responsibility for actions of their organization and I intend to do so now. They are my friends and I will suffer any punishment for them because they are my friends.

Bakuryu - I repsect your stand as being leader of the [BR}, but there is no way that you should be held responsible for one of your players exploiting an oversight in how the stats are set up. I'm pretty sure that you have been made aware of the "glitch" and I have a pretty good idea exactly what it is. Unless you knew that he was doing this, you can not, and should not be held responsible. I enjoy both playing with and against you and your clan (I prefer to be on your side though, as I die less often). I for one have not lost any repsect for you or your clan over this now "former member of [BR]

Don't worry Bakuryu...I was online when he joined your clan, and it was only a day or two ago I believe. It certainly does not diminish you or the rest of your clan. You guys are some of the best and nicest players on here.

I wouldn't worry about it, he was caught and will be punished. Let's leave it at that, and you can keep on killing the rest of us as normal.

Hahaha, funny this all came up, Me and My Brother (Rata-tat-tat) were just talking yesterday about how MDemsy could be #1. We just couldn't figure out how, he wasn't all that good or anything, we figured he must have just capped all the time and got the 20 points for every cap and never got any kills cause we'd see lots of people whuppin on him and not too much whupping being handed out on his behalf.
When Rata gets home I'm sure he'll find that interesting. But so far it looks like Cartman is #1 for real.
Still without TFC, can't see you in the game yet. Tripping to store tomorrow to get me one of those Fancy Shmancy 5 button optical wheel mice. But more than anything tomorrow is a great day for me. I get to step up and ride the lightning, I'm getting cable! My powers should increase significantly, maybe you'll all be able to witness them tomorrow, I'm going to go for 200 kills.
