I don't think it is going to do more good than the bad it is going to do.

Besides there are 4 billion CSS servers. And if the villes is not full most of the time with regs and not bots, it will never fill. CSS people like DODS people do not join bot servers and do not wait till a server fills up. They just find one with players.

The "embrace the whole crowd" quip is absurd. The whole purpose of TheVille is to allow friendly non-llamas to enjoy a common game in a pleasant environment. The game we're all playing doesn't matter. In case you never noticed, TFC had/has an enormous following of idiots too that are not welcome here.

On the other hand, lack of proper admining would seem to be a valid concern. Do we have a group of dedicated, experienced CS:S players to admin a server which will demand it?

I don't see what the big deal is myself. So we got a CS:S server. Great!!! A place where people can play without the worry of jerks ruining the fun for everyone else. I'm sure powder knows what's best for the ville and it's future, why don't ya'll thank him, and the others that helped, for taking the time to actually bring up this server instead of saying how bad a mistake it was in the first place? Seriously. No one said you had to play CS:S on the ville but at least give it a chance, see how it pans out.

ok this is how i think about this...

i SERIOUSLY HATED playing DOD till i came to the ville. i would go to the local internet cafe and just wanna play some games. I used to be a city of heros person myself. I didnt wanna pay for that cause i used to be using my friends account so when he wanted me to pay i stopped playin. The ville is what attracted me to playin more DOD...the players were awesome and the server was PROPERLY MAINTAINED...the only part that was hard was the no swearing policy but i didnt have a mic so it was all good. but seriously though, CS and CS:S have a bunch of assholes in the game just like DOD does. The thing that will make the game different is the SERVER. THE VILLE is what made DOD fun for me, not the game. The ville will be able to make a fun environment for ppl to play in...look at some of the people that play in The Ville servers. They arent the best players but they are the right type of players we want. eventually they will improve and what not to become better opponents. The VIlle enforces the quality of players coming into the server. Personally i think that the CS server would be a great thing. I used to be addicted to CS till all the servers were full of pricks. I played when the game first came out when i was like in 7th grade...(im a freshman in college now)...but the game sucked after like a year or 2 cause the servers were full of idiots. I think that the Ville can bring a great server to the CS community and do it some good. People will eventually find out about how awesome the VIlle SErver is and it will be one of the hardest servers to get into. VILLE III is like impossible to get into after a certain time, but im willin to wait 30 min to an hour to get in.

i know i said a bunch of random shiznit in it...but u get my general point
